EuroPride 2016: LGBTech Launches its Amsterdam Community

LGBTech, a community of LGBT professionals working in tech, is expanding from Israel into Europe while launching its first satellite community in Amsterdam, Holland. LGBTech, founded five years ago, is similar to other LGBT Tech and startup communities in Berlin, Dublin, New York and Silicon Valley, dedicated to foster tech professionals into a thriving community.

LGBTech leads projects such as academic scholarships for Transgenders and business mentors. Some of LGBTech major sponsors are Google, Founder Fund, Microsoft, and Intel, with lectures given by Joel Spolsky from Stack Overflow, Ben Ling from Khosla Ventures, Joel Simkhai from Grinder and other tech leaders.

“We’re pursuing a vision of a global LGBT network allowing tech professionals to have access to more opportunities, talent and partnerships around the world. Amsterdam is the next step of this journey.” – Elad Mintzer, LGBTech Managing Director.

During EuroPride 2016 LGBTech Amsterdam will host its first event and welcomes local and global tech professionals from the LGBTI-community to network, help each other and have fun.

The event will include start-up pitches, an in depth panel and opportunities for networking and drinks with others working in the tech and start-up industry. It is a great opportunity to expand your own network, develop new partnerships and get inspired to further develop your own career or business.

The launch will take place Wednesday August 3rd from 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm at WeWork Metropool, Weesperstraat in Amsterdam. Those who are interested and want to become part of this global network can join via www.LGBTech.amsterdam.
